Sandcastle Festival – 31 July and 1 August
Now in it’s fourth year, Morecambe’s city council funded and run Sandcastle Festival gives locals and visitors alike an opportunity to really show off their sandcastle building skills. On both days, there’s a selection of activities taking place on the beach and the opportunity to meet two very special guests. Sunday August 1st sees the return of the sandcastle competition and the chance for hundreds of competitors to be the King or Queen of their very own castle and win prizes galore.
We Do Like to be Beside the Sea – 11 and 12 September
City council funded and run, entertainment this year will include new and up to the minute attractions and loads of surprises. Highlights will include the ever-popular flyover by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a classic car rally.
Bands in the Park – 23 May to 12 September
The council is pleased to be able to bring another season of brass to Happy Mount Park. Concerts which are free are scheduled to take place every Sunday from May 23 to 12 September.
